Finishing looking at the silent film posters at the Harris today. All the posters date between 1910 and 1915 and include films from America, Europe and Britain. There are two wonderful posters featuring Charlie Chaplain on a vivid yellow background, both printed in Preston by lithographer Septimus Ward. More information on the collection will follow in the coming weeks. They would make a wonderful touring exhibition.
